Sept. 2015 - President's Message

Dear ITE Southern California Members,

On behalf of the Section Board members, thank you for your participation in our elections this past June. I am honored to serve as President for our Section this year and look forward to serving alongside Jay Dinkins (Vice President), Dean Lehman (Secretary), and our new Board member Josh McNeill (Treasurer).

It has been quite an eventful summer. In July, our Board and many of our members attended the Western District Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, where several of our members gave presentations on current industry topics. Additionally, our Section’s First Past President, Neelam Dorman, was recognized for her hard-earned efforts with the Young Professional Achievement Award; Congratulations Neelam! The Section also held our first event and Annual Steak Fry on August 19th. It was great to see familiar faces and some new ones as well.

Our upcoming event is a regular lunch meeting on Wednesday, September 16th at the Monterey Hill Restaurant, and features a presentation on “Railroad Corridor Quiet Zones” by guest speaker Juan Diaz (President/CEO of JMDiaz, Inc.).
